Superbowl XLIII

Hello all of you loyal Football ^FAN^atics!

This article is probably my final time you hear from this unbiased PackerIQ.com columnist for a few months.

A grievance should be filed against the officiating associating to keep parity (parity’s synonym=similarity, equivalence, or uniformity) in the NFL. This league has been promoting this cause for years, by the draft pick position that each team receives yearly.

There were quite a few questionable calls by the referee’s that were made. Mainly, those refs decided the outcome of a fabulous Superbowl XLIII game. In that game’s final seconds of play, the calls that were decided on should have been against the Pittsburgh Steelers but the weren’t and the Arizona Cardinals had to unpleasantly accept them

That state of affairs, proves that the Steelers were paying the officiating crew or that those ref’s just favored the Superbowl XLIII champions.

This is a paragraph from my previous article here on WWW.Packeriq.com: “Regarding, the crucial call of the 4th quarter of the Steelers/Ravens game, the ball never crossed the goal line/plane but the officials ruled it a TD. To me that call was incorrect as the ball DID NOT cross the plane. I know the game was in Baltimore but the Steelers must have paid a hefty sum to eliminate the home field advantage that the Ravens had. Had the Steelers been matched up against the Pack and a similar situation would have occurred you cheeseheads would have raised a stink league wide.” That game was the Monday night game of week #4.

With the NFL ending it’s season so controversially, their hierarchy should seriously look into this situation regarding the officiating crew of the phonomenally played Superbowl XLIII. By them doing that, it is a guaranteed way of instituting a total impartiality stance on the future Superbowl games.

These five active NFL teams have yet to appear in a Super Bowl: the Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans (2002 expansion team,) Jacksonville Jaguars (1995 expansion team) and New Orleans Saints. Plus, the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets have not appeared in the Super Bowl since the merger in 1970. If they don’t look into this matter, the league will keep stating that the NFL is a non-parity league.

I’ll speak at you in a few months... Louie (LOUUP)
