Hello all of you loyal Football ^FAN^atics,

As you know, you beloved Packers fans, that the Headcheese offered me a position on this “FAN”tastic Website that focused on the Green Bay Packers. I told him that, that specific team; I didn’t follow too closely. I told him that I would become a columnist that covers the whole NFL and add a snippet or two about the Green Bay Packers. Mr. Headcheese accepted my conditions of being an unbiased reporter. With this article, I’m staying true to my form.

I have had mixed emotions about Brett Favre leaving town. But, I can’t blame either one for him becoming a Jet. Both the Green Bay Packers and the infamous number “4” are to blame in this instance.

Eventhough Favre, told the “Pack” of his plans to retire, he unretired before this upcoming 2008 season. With his announcement the “Pack” didn’t want to keep having Aaron Rodgers warming the bench for another year, as they are still aware of Brett’s renowned playing ability. With those ideas in mind, the Green Bay Packers told him of the teams he could communicate with but made sure that any of their archrivals in the NFC north division weren’t in consideration of hiring this future Hall Of Famer.

Here is what the Green Bay Packers will receive for trading with the New York Jets for a trade Brett Favre. According to NFL.com, the Packers will receive a fourth-round draft pick in 2009. The selection would turn into a third-rounder if Favre plays in 50 percent of the plays this season, a second-rounder if he plays in 70 percent and the Jets make the playoffs, or a first-round pick if he plays in 80 percent and the Jets make it to the Super Bowl.

Who knows if it was a good trade but in the long run, the Green Bay Packers seem to have it all the specific future details covered. It seems to be the talk around the league and on national headlines.

Talk to you soon... Louie (LOUUP)
