Hello all of you loyal Football ^FAN^atics,
I’m writing this article after watching ESPN’s NFL “Live” on 7/21 and 7/22. The New York Giants have traded Jeremy Shockey to the New Orleans Saints. The Saints have received second-and fifth-round picks in the 2009 NFL Draft for acquiring TE Jeremy Shockey. The Washington Redskins announced that they have agreed to a trade with the Miami Dolphins for defensive end Jason Taylor. In return the Dolphins receive a second-round pick in 2009 and a sixth-round pick in 2010.
The headlines have been mainly focusing on one main topic in the league and that is none other that Brett Favre of the Green Bay Packers. I’ll have to say my two cents on that matter. The players of the Packers don’t have any control over Brett returning to play the position that he has made famous for the Pack. In my mind, the Green Bay Packers shouldn’t pursue every possible trade for that legendary quarterback.
This is my scenario, is to offer Aaron Rodgers as a trade. Everyone knows that Brett won’t be a bench warmer. Aaron Rodgers has been a prime example of how challenging that job is and he has a degree in that talented position!
