Hello all of you loyal Football ^FAN^atics,
Brett Favre of the Green Bay Packers still has to decide by the 18th or 19th if he wants to play QB. I recently looked on the
‘Packs’ Website and he isn’t listed as a player.
On Saturday, 7/5/08 Brett sent a text message to Ted Thompson the General Manager and he replied. I was expecting a serious response from G.B’S General Manager but it was short in wording. He said; “I’m on vacation.”
The fabulous #4 is holding all the cards and knows whether to “HOLD'EM or folder” in this quarterbacking situation. When I hear some more about this story, I’ll post another article.
A headline on the NFL website is the following: Green Bay Packers are telling Brett Favre to stay retired. As for other news within the NFL, the famous family owners (Rooney’s) of the Pittsburgh Steelers are looking around for potential buyers of that famous team. With their excellence in maintaining a high quality team, they have a tendency to not pay their players huge salaries.
Onto another story that deals with the San Diego Chargers. Philip Rivers played with a torn ACL last season and his toughness to the pain he had to be in. With his teammates realizing that, it tells me that that team is going to be headed to the Superbowl at the end of 2008 season.
More later, Louie (LOUUP)
