TITLE: “The Great #4”

LETTER SUMMARY: Is this the final goodbye to Brett?

3/7/08

Hello all of you loyal Football ^FAN^atics,

I recently posted a brief article about Brett’s retirement, knowing that I wanted to say much more. Well here is that article. After watching a teary eyed Brett Favre at his news conference broadcast on WJMN3/WFRV5, I wrote down quite a few ideas to write for this article.

Quite a few people who read the article on this “FAN”tastic Website, think that I’m gone crazy...Well, I’m not but by the end of this article some of you readers will assume that I’ve lost my mind. If you look at that word, you can see that it spells ass-u-me.

As I said before, Mr. Favre officially retired, as he graciously fought back the tears, which slid down his face, he didn’t feel that his accomplishments were his (the multitude NFL records that has his name on) but they should belong to the Green Bay Packers.

The main factor that weighed heavily on his mind to make the decision to retire, was his putting a huge toll on his cancer stricken wife Deanna. Although, he loved playing football, it simply proves that his family is the most important thing in his life!

He stated that he has no plans to pursue anything else for 1 year but still that nothing out there compared to playing football. He still loves the charity called “Make A Break For Kids” and his charity baseball game is a huge success amongst his fans!

He was very emotional held at the press conference at Lambeau Field, as many boxes of tissue were given to him as well as his fans.

#4 or the famous Brett Favre of the Green Bay Packers told the press he retired. But, just as I indirectly hinted about in my previous article, it’s just like Favre to pull a miraculous game winning play out of nowhere...If he comes back to the game he loves, the headlines will say something like this: “#4ever Favre” “21 century #4ever!”

Throughout the NFL, Favre has been known to devise game winning plays out of inconceivable circumstances. Just his presence on the field, the opponents certainly must have cringed, as they watched a “#4ever Favre” play unfolds!

He always seems to have a rookie mentality that has kept him out of trouble in the years that he has played. However, at his remarkable healthy age, he certainly has the ability as well as teammates to return to the game that he still loves playing.

I want to thank the “Headcheese” who hired me on this fabulous Website, to write articles about football. In my mind, the NFL, can’t start soon enough as it inspires me to keep moving forward.

See you in a few months, Louie (LOUUP)
