Hello all of you loyal Football ^FAN^atics,
Seattle Seahawks coach Holmgren losing graciously, had to be his way of respecting the famous “Pack,” after Ryan Grant’s unintentional dropping the football twice, that lead to a 14 point deficit early in the first quarter.
Then Greg Jennings did a “Lambeau Leap” after scoring a touchdown with 7:52 remaining in the first quarter. With an extra point, the score was 14-7. At the start of the second quarter, Aaron Kampman recovered a fumble at Seahawks 17-yard line. Ryan Grant had to be played much conscientiously by Coach McCarthy, to help him recover from those 2 earlier fumbles. In his recovery from those fumbles, the “Pack” certainly gained the team winning emotion to help “Pack- Up" the Seahawks to return home for good this season.
With under 2 minutes to go in the first half, Brett Favre, reached into his “Magic Trick” bag and baffled the Seahawks by throwing an under arm pass. It gained them a first down. On the very next play, #4 connected with Donald Lee for a touchdown and now the Pack was leading 17-28.
The famous #4, first touchdown pass was to a running back on the “Packs” opening drive of the third quarter. The Packers scored a TD on six consecutive series!
If the “Pack” hadn’t lost those 2 fumbles, the score would have been a blowout, instead of the 20-42 at the final buzzer.
Now the Packers are eagerly awaiting the New York Little People as their next foes in the “Snow bowl” game at Lombardi field.
Until my next article, Louie (LOUUP)
