Dan Marino will retire on Monday to end his 17 year career with the Miami Dolphins. I believe this was something he should have done 3-4 years ago. Unlike another great QB, John Elway who went out on top of the league, Dan leaves the league with a 62-7 playoff loss to the Jacksonville Jacguars in last years playoffs and a feud with coach Jimmy Johnson. In sure is a tough way to go out especially when Dan holds the all-time leading NFL passing records for touchdowns (420), yardage (61,361) and completions(4,967). Marino has brought so much the league with his presence and ability to rack up the statistics, but it is time to quit for his knees, his family, pride, and his memory.
