Hello all of you loyal Football ^FAN^atics,
Watching my favorite show on ESPN (NFL LIVE,) their “Opening Drive” segment focused on the NFL commissioner.
With Paul Tagliabue retiring, the NFL hired Roger Goodell. He was selected from the candidates because he has been in the system for years and was Paul Tagliabue’s right-hand man. Mr. Goodell will start before the 2006 NFL season begins.
Green Bay Packers player, Ahman Green, practiced this past Monday. He was back in his “habitat,” his usual routine of practicing for the Pack. He knows that he will be ready to play for the 2006 season!
On a follow-up to a report about “Big Ben,” Pittsburgh Steelers coach Bill Cowher announced that Ben Roethlisberger is going to be their starting QB against Arizona Cardinals tomorrow.
I believe that he is making a very wise decision. After all, it is better to find out in preseason the condition of “Big Ben,” instead of relying on your second-string QB leading the defending Super Bowl champs throughout the regular season games. Coach Cowher wants to evaluate “Big Ben’s” condition and the reality of his whole team!
That is all for now, I will close. Until my next article, keep staying alert as football season is upon us, Louie
