Due to injuries it might be time for the Packers to reload, instead of rebuild. Considering that the Packers are competitive with replacement players they can have a good year next year. The one bright spot for the Packers is that their defense is going in the right direction. Defensive coordinator Jim Bates has done a good job with little talent. Maybe next year with the addition of a defensive end that can rush the passer and added experience for the young players, they can be a top 10 defensive unit. The Packers should have at least 15 million under the salary cap next year, so they can get a quality free agent. It doesn’t look good for the Packers landing Reggie Bush in the draft, but miracles do happen! Regardless, the Packers should have a top 5 draft choice which an impact player is A MUST. My guess is that they will be looking for a running back due to the uncertain status of Green and Davenport. They also might be able to trade down a couple slots and gain a 3rd round pick, which would be a nice spot to add a guard or fullback.

I really have mixed emotions about our Brett. It’s hard to see him go out after a year like this has been for the Packers. On the otherhand, he’s been absolutely horrendous! He will throw the ball up for grabs, he will throw the ball into double and triple coverage at least 3 times a game, and it’s embarrassing! Forget about trying to make something happen, how about not turning the ball over Brett. The thing that really gets me is that Sherman never rips into him for his mistakes! I don’t have a problem with Favre starting due to the streak, but Rodgers should get some playing time. I do have a problem with Sherman being the head coach next year, he should be fired. I will admit he got a raw deal with the injuries this year, but in years past he hasn’t won in the playoffs. How can Ray Rhodes be fired for going 8-8 and Sherman still have his job with a possible 4-12 record or worse?

Hire Mariucci or promote Jim Bates!

Until next time, STAY SAFE!
