Greetings all you football fans!
As usual, I was watching NFL “LIVE” on ESPN2 and was devasted hearing their first report. It was a story on the San Francisco 49ers.
Trey Wingo as well as Sean Salsibury told the listening audience that Mark Herrion, who at the young age of 23 died while walking into the locker room this past weekend. I ask that you give this very religious leader of the team of moment of silence and say a prayer for the members of his family as this tragedy has overtaken his loved ones by surprise.
Then they went on to mention Randy Moss and his apology. This was taken from what he told Bryant Gumbel who hosts HBO’s “Real Sports.” Randy Moss states: “I have used, you know marijuana... Since I have been in the league. I might, I might have fun. And, you know, hopefully I won’t get into any trouble by the NFL by saying that, you know. Like I say....I have used marijuana in the past and every blue moon or every once in awhile I might...I don’t want any kids...watching this taking a lesson from me as for as ‘well, Randy Moss uses it so I’m going to use it.’ I don’t want that to get across.”
Randy Moss has been in the substance abuse program before and is NOT in that program now. My personal opinion is Randy Moss is definitely an honest and truthful athlete for telling all the football fans of his use of marijuana. I am a firm believer that marijuana is as safe as alcohol. How many NFL players have tried alcohol before, they don’t fully understand what a powerful drug that is? Who knows, after their professional career is over, will these players have to go to A. A. classes?
All you fans, just remember to help Deanna’s cause by buying those new pink Green Bay Packers hats for they are helping to score a touchdown against cancer!
Gods Peace to you! Until next time, LOU^U.P.^
