Hello Fellow Packer Fans! First let me start out by wishing each and everyone of you a Very Happy Thanksgiving! This time of year brings out in me the things that I believe I am truly thankful for. So in no particular order, here is what I am thankful for this year.Brett Favre and Ryan Longwell.I am thankful that Brett has the talent and guts to deliver 2 clutch drives so that Ryan could use his talented right leg to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat the past 2 games. I am thankful that most fans do not act like the fans in Detroit. Dishonorable Mention goes to the fans of the University Of South Carolina and Clemson football teams. After witnessing the debacle between the Pistons and Pacers I think the NBA did the right thing with the penalties it handed down. Now hopefully if the Players association goes to court with this the judge who gets this case will uphold the decision of Commisioner Stearn. This is where the NFL Has the right idea. A player who wants to be in the draft must wait 3 years after his class graduates from High School. The NBA is not doing these kids any favors by letting them jump to the pros that easy. But I digress. Another thing to be thankful for is the opprotunity given me by my good friend (and editor) Steve Jackle for giving me this platform on which to air my views not only as a Packer fan , but a sports fan as well. This is my 4th year with Packer I.Q. and it still is fun to do this. Thanks Steve. I also want to thank all of you who have read not only "From The Cheap Seats " but all of our columns. I am thankful for my collegues, Bill G., Louie, Intense, Steve and Bill F. I am thankful that the Pack has turned things around and hopefully all the battered and bruised will get healthy in time for the playoffs. And on a personal note, I am thankful for the love and respect that I give and have been given by family and friends. That is not given easily and has been earned by those very special people. And on a VERY personal note the one thing I am most thankful for is the love that my beuatiful wife Carol and I share all year long. Until next time Packer fans, Happy Thanksgiving.
