The Packers enter their bye week in pretty decent shape. It was vital for the Packers to be 4 - 4 on their bye week, and they have succeeded. They also have a 4 – 2 record in their conference, which helps the wild card situation. They also have a week to get the younger players some coaching help, especially their defensive backs. It will also help the veterans heal up before the playoff run. For Favre, Rivera, Sharper, Jackson, and Ahman the bye week couldn’t have come at a better time. Now for the tough part, the Packers have a really tough schedule the second half. They play the Rams, Eagles, Jaguars, and 2 games against the Vikings, those will be 5 tough games to win. The defense is playing much better with Grady Jackson back in the lineup, so hopefully they will keep improving. Can someone please tell me why the Packers can’t stop a forth and long? They fired Donatell for the Philly 4th and 26, but against the Titans and Skins they still couldn’t stop it! There is one common denominator in all three, Mike Sherman. I actually hope for 3rd or 4th and five rather than 3rd or 4th and 20, this isn’t even funny anymore, it’s that bad! Another thing, what’s up with Favre throwing these 50-yard “pop fly” interceptions? He’s lucky that defensive backs can’t catch! He can throw a 40-yard bullet to Driver down the sidelines, but throws a 50-yard “pop fly”; the thumb is no excuse! I root for Favre as much as anyone, but I guess you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. Until next time, STAY SAFE!
