Hey Packer fans! Would have wrote after last week's game but I was just too depressed. Last week it looked like the Pack expected Da Bears to roll over and play dead and that cost them that game. This week it appeared that Defensive Coordinator Bob Slowik couldn't have figured out the Colts offense even if he had all of their plays scripted right in front of him. The fact that Green Bay has 5 defensive starters inactive due to injury is a very BIG factor in the last 2 losses.Without Grady Jackson plugging up the middle against Chicago it gave the Bears an actual running game. Without Mike McKenzie and Ahmad Carrol in the defensive backfield Peyton Manning had his way with the secondary for most of the game. But the biggest culprit these past 2 weeks was 2 costly turnovers. Ahman Green's fumble at the 5 when it appeared that he would score led to a 14 point swing that sealed the Green And Gold's fate, And then the strip of WR Javon Walker when it appeared that Favre was driving them for the tying score cost them any chance of winning that game. With a 1-2 start the team from Titletown can't afford to give away anymore games like the last 2 if they wish to be considered a serious playoff contender. I will say this, even though The Pack lost it was the most fun game to watch in quite awhile. Favre and Manning put on one hell of a show for all to see and enjoy.
Rumor going around during the game was that the reason McKenzie didn't make the trip to Indy was that he was going to be traded to New Orleans. That was about all the detail that Collinsworth, Buck, and Aikman were giving out as opposed to Coach Sherman saying McKenzie was injured. Makes a person wonder, does it not? I guess we will have to wait and see. Next week the revamped New York Giants invade Lambeau . Let's hope that the team can turn it around and get back on the winning track. Until next week my fellow Packer fans..........................SEEEE YAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
