Dear Fellow & True Football Fans,
I am still in my "Training Camp," as I am watching "NFL LIVE" on ESPN2, if I am not home doing some recording using my VCR that has been known to misbehave my "Training Camp" once or twice before! I even watched the "Mike Sherman" show as it was broadcast on WJMN prior to the game that the Jaguars defeated the Packers in week #3 of the preseason. I absorbed some information about a punter that the Packers acquired from Washington Redskins. The Redskins terminated him on February 24th. He looked rather impressive to me, although, his 15 years in the league was enough proof that he deserves to either be a starter or starting! His punts were very long and had excellent location. Last season, he had the longest punt of all punters in the NFL!
In the "Mike Sherman" show, coach talked alot about Brett Favre! Brett was interviewed and he was saying that he really cherished his parents. He got very somber when his deceased Dad was mention but was very outspoken when talking about his Mom! Brett grew up in Kiln, Mississippi and his Mom was a teacher for the mentally challenged. With alot of his playing patience, one could really see who he learned that from!
Seeing Tim Couch standing on the sidelines trying to recover from the injury he sustained, put me into a thinking mode, as the second string looked very good, protecting his rival at becoming Favre’s backup (Doug Peterson) QB. By watching both games, second string did an excellent job protecting Doug Peterson but in the previous game, they obviously didn’t do that good of a job protecting Tim Couch! Are the second string players trying to tell their coaches of which QB they like to lead their team?
"Are You Ready For Some Football?" should be bellowing from my TV set on September 13th as the Green Bay Packers play their first game of this season against the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers won their game against the New England Patriots yesterday! So they should be ready for the game, as they want to be this years winners of the Lombardi trophy!
Gods Peace and Love to you! Sincerely, LOU^U.P.^
