Sluggish Pack Stuffed by Lions

In what should have been a blowout win turned into an embarrassing loss as the Lions handed the Packers a 22-14 defeat. Except for a short-lived lead at 14-10 in the 3rd the Packers looked like they expected Detroit to rollover and play dead so they could get to within a 1/2 game of the Vikings. I can't understand how they can beat better teams and then look pathetic against lesser ones.If this team expects to get in the play-offs they will HAVE to run the table and hope that Minnesota stumbles big. On paper Green Bay has the easier schedule, but, this game just goes to show that means nothing. Give the defense some credit. They played without All-Pro Darren Sharper and Rookie Of The Year candidate Nick Barnett and except for the first drive they kept the Lions out of the end zone. But once again 2 bone head misconduct penalties kept drives alive when they should have been snuffed. Add in a false start on the Pack's first drive that was going well and you can see what I believe is a pattern of desperation starting to seep in to the team's mindset. Turnovers were once again another factor. Brett can't keep throwing 2-3 picks a game and expect to win. I know it probably has to do with the thumb but he should have been able to adjust by now. Well now it's 10 days to prepare for Da Bears. With the way this team is playing I wouldn't call this game a lock. Until next time ...................SEE YA!!!!
