It definetly was not a cheerful visit to Lambeau for the Buffalo Bills during this holiday season. Or should I say this Holliday season as in defensive lineman Vonnie Holliday. Holliday had 5 sacks (a new team record). Forced 2 fumbles and almost picked off a pass. This was a truly inspiring performance considering the emotional turmoil Vonnie had gone through the night before. A close cousin named Marcus Warren died during a holiday basketball tournament in South Carolina on saturday evening due to a heart abnormality. I know I speak for the entire staff here at Packer I.Q. when I say how sorry we are for this tragedy that has befallen the Holiday family, especially during this time of the year. God speed Marcus. Now back to the game. The defense played an awesome game. 6 turnovers (4 fumble recoveries,2 picks) 6 sacks (KGB got the other one).Held one of the most potent offenses in the league to 46 rushing yards and 179 passing yards while pitching the first shutout since last years Redskins game. The only real downer was the injury to Darren Sharper after he made his league leading 7th interception.Hopefully the knee will be alright and Darren will be back for the play-offs.The offense didn't have one of it's more productive days with Favre only throwing for 114 yds, 1td, and 1 pick. But as he and coach Sherman said after the game, a win is a win. Ahman Green rushed for 116 yds pushing his total up to 1118 yds for the season. Now hopefully the Buccaneers will lose one of their 2 remaining games to give the Pack a first round bye.Sorry about not writing on the Niners game last week gang but my Computer lost my article somewhere out there in cyberspace and I couldn't retrieve it.
Now for the Pro Bowl update. 5 Packers have been selected to this years Pro Bowl in Hawaii. They are: QB Brett Favre, RB Ahman Green, TE Bubba Franks, OL Marco Rivera, and Safety Darren Sharper. Also 6 players were named as alternates. They are: WR Donald Driver, DL Kabeer Gbaja- Biamilla,FB William Henderson,K Ryan Longwell,DB Mike McKenzie, and OL Mike Wahle. Congratulations to all of you on your selection.
