Fantasy Football Tips

Well it’s that time of the year for fantasy football drafts to take place. I hope this article can be of some help to put you at the top of your league. There are two types of leagues, draft and salary cap. In a draft league you really have to do your homework regarding the depth charts on N.F.L teams. You obviously would not want to draft some one who is # 3 on the depth chart. But taking someone who is a solid back up with a mid round pick, might be a good move. If you find a starter that has a history of injuries, his back up might help you win your league. A perfect example of this was Mike Anderson and Ahman Green last year. They replaced the starting players and had very productive years. I think using a mid round pick for a solid back up is better than taking a starter on a bad team. Anderson and Green last year proved this point, now to find the good back ups for this year.

In a salary cap league you must check the weekly injury reports and rumors about replacing non-productive starters. This is common sense, but you would be surprised how many people start players that are hurt or replaced in the starting line up. So stay on top of these situations, giving points away can make a big difference in your final standings. Another important tip is finding value; you will always get value by finding a back up who is starting. So again, stay on top of the injury reports and non-productive starters.

Fantasy Sleeper Cleveland Defense – Look for the Browns front four to really cause problems for the opposition. Mc Kenzie and Brown will have some help this year from first round pick Gerald Warren. Warren will help push the pocket, which will help free up Mc Kenzie and Brown. Also in their division, there are not any offensive machines to for the Brown defense to deal with. With four games against the Bengals and Kordell Stewart that is enough reason to take the Cleveland defense.
