This season for the Green Bay Packers, like most teams, have a few questions to be answered. The first in my opinion is at wide receiver. They need one of their young talented receivers to step up and become a weapon. I have heard all of the news about “the New Antonio Freeman”; I don’t buy or count on it. So that leaves Bradford, Lee, or Driver to step up and make plays. My personal opinion it will be Charles Lee, but we shall see. The next question mark is the defense’s ability to tackle and rush the passer. This is a question mark due to the fact they were terrible at both last year, especially the tackling in the secondary. It is going to take Jamal Reynolds a little bit of time to work on his techniques, so don’t expect miracles from him quickly. There is a player who I really think may make an impact on the pass rush and that is Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila (#94). He will be in the rotation at end, and like Reynolds, he has great speed off the ball. I think with a year under his belt, Kabeer can and will make an impact. In the future I will just refer to Kabeer as “The Beer Man” it is much easier to say and remember.
Well last, but not least, keeping Brett Favre healthy. This year is a must for the offensive line to be solid and consistent week after week. Or just face facts, the Pack will not win with Pederson or Tolliver. They might be all right for a game or two, but that is it. If the end of last year is any indication of what this year will be like, I like our chances Packer Backers. The offensive line played very consistent the last month of the season. I cannot say enough good things about Clifton and Tauscher; these guys look like they are real players. So go and kick some tail Clifton and Tauscher, make me look like I know what I am talking about! I am sure I can speak for all of the Packer Backers when I say “STAY HEALTHY DORSEY”. Dorsey Levens has been a class act and a true Packer, so I wish him well this year.
For our new visitors to Packer I.Q. I hope you enjoy the site. We all want to hear what you have to say, so speak up and have some fun! I try to be as blunt as possible about the games, so that’s why it’s called “The Pack Like It Is”. I have some issues for all of the fantasy football players in Packerland, so look for it in a week or two. I will discuss some strategic angles and some players who might help you win your league, so come back and look it over.
