Brown County residents have to make a big decision today. Do they allow an 1/2 percent tax increase to finance the renovations of Lambeau Field. The Packers to their credit have come up with some unique ways to sway the voters in favor of the tax increase. Including setting aside 4000 tickets for each game for Brown county residents and opening up the facilities year round for various types of civic functions. They even had Brett Favre shaking hands at a local high school football game.
As a fan not living in Brown county I am all for the tax increase. It may need to mention that I am less than 75 on the waiting list to get a Milwaukee ticket package. If they expand the stadium I get tickets. I hope that the Brown County residents understand that there is no deep pocket owners backing the Pack. And even if they would fold and their assets were turned over to the American Legion, I am sure the American Legion would sell the team and they would move out of the area anyway.
Injuries and salary cap hell are playing a big role in the packers demise. They need a victory this week, even if it is not on the football field.
