If what was reported on this morning's newscast is true Bob Harlan and the rest of the executive staff of the Packers should be ashamed of themselves. It was reported on a Local TV station that Harlan and other high ranking team officials would not be attending the memorial service for former Packer Great Max McGee in Minnesota because they would be too busy in Denver on that Sunday before the Packers-Broncos MONDAY night game! Instead the team is sending 2 lower ranking officials (I think they were identified as being from the ticket sales department.) Talk about blatant disrespect!! This isn't a no-name 3rd stringer, this is Max McGee! The first player in the history of the Super Bowl to score a touchdown! Are you telling us Bob that the team couldn't charter a flight so that you and your other cronies could pay the proper respect to a player of McGee's stature? Not only did Max play his entire career in Green Bay, he went on to be the radio voice of the team for many years after his playing days. What's the matter Bob? Didn't Max do enough for the team? Is Max less significant than Reggie White? I recall Max rarely missed any team functions he was asked by the team HE respected to attend. How many charity events did he attend on your behalf? I just hope that the Milwaukee TV station was given the wrong information. Because if this is true, it will be a sad day in Packer history. The day the executive board turned it's back on a legend. And Bob, if you decide that you and the gang should attend because of the negative feedback you are getting from this fiasco, you should still be ashamed of yourself. I know I'm not very proud of you. And if this is how this Packer fan feels, how do you think other Packer fans will feel?
