Hello all of you loyal Football ^FAN^atics,
It appears that the 2007 NFL season is starting earlier every year. The NFL draft picks are a big promotional event really overshadows the regular season opening games!
The #1 draft pick was none other than what expert analysts predicted, was JaMarcuss Russell, QB from LSU. He Is the Oakland Raiders pick in the 2007 draft. After doing some research into him, I think that he will fit into the Al Davis of the renowned Raiders Mysterious Mystique. He definitely has exceptional arm strength.
#2 pick went to the Detroit Lions. Did Rob Marinelli select another Barry Sanders quality player or did he pick another dud like he did the previous 4 years? Wide receiver Calvin Johnson from Georgia Tech with a phenomenal character. He never let his teammates “receive” criticism from his coaches as he “received” all of it upon his shoulders.
#The Cleveland Browns, who really threw a curveball in the 2007 NFL draft, selected 3 pick. They selected Joe Thomas OT, from Wisconsin. Most of the analysts/commentators, predicted another player for their selection, just minutes before the first year Commissioner Roger Goodell made the NFL’s draft pick selection, announced the Cleveland Browns selection. The analysts/commentators stated that they all thought that QB Brady Quinn would have been the #3 draft pick.
The Tampa Buccaneers selected the #4 overall draft pick. I immediately said to myself that Jon Gruden, AKA Chuckiecheese, would pick Brady Quinn as “Chuckiecheese” has a fascination with QB’s. TB selected Gaines Adams DE from Clemson. TB’s defensive coaches must have convinced “Chuckiecheese” that that player as well as position was the spot they needed to fill to make another run to this years SuperBowl.
I just have too much to do, so I will end this article with a report about the Green Bay Packers as I have a meeting later today about my project that I have been working on for years.
The Green Bay Packers selected the #16 overall in the 2007 NFL draft. More than likely, this is Brett Favre’s 17th and final season of leading the Green & Gold. Ted Thompson wants to build this franchise for years to come, instead of focusing on this year’s abundant WR crew. They selected Justin Harrell from Tennessee. He is a 6’4” 300 lbs. player who could be the stopper in the middle of the defensive line. The Green & Gold was tied for 25th in points allowed in the league. However, he is recovered from his torn biceps injury.
Not too much else to say in this article and football season will quickly be upon us. Until my next article, Louie (LOUUP)
