A Rollercoaster Season / Uh, Ted?

Well fellow Packer fans it looks like it's going to be an interesting season. After 2 wins in a row the Pack goes down to defeat against Buffalo by shooting themselves repeatedly in the foot. Then turns around and wins a beaut against the Viqueens in the Horrordome! What in the name of Vince Lombardi is going on Here?! This team can look so good one moment and so inconsistent the next. It's enough to drive the most faithful fan insane. I have been told by many friends and fellow fans that I might as well get used to it. It's a young team and is going through alot of growing pains. Truer words have never been spoken. But, can anyone tell me why that in 2 consecutive weeks our defense gives up 2 long touchdown passes without a single defender in sight? Is it just a coincidence that both were on Al Harris's side of the field? And as far as I'm concerned there are too many dropped interceptions this year. Even Woodson hasn't been all that consistent. He and Harris have dropped about a half a dozen chances so far. And what about the play selection on 1st and goal against the Bills? A quick out to Driver that was picked off and ran back for a td. Maybe a little play action on that play and then try to pound it in with Green after that, but you could tell the db was waiting to jump that pass. I guess that's the growing pains of a rookie coach and his staff. McCarthy hasn't done all that bad and with time might just turn into a first rate head coach. Let's hope so.

Now on to the second part oft his article.Recently on Fox Sports .com in the Ben Maller Hot Rumors section was a quote from GM Ted Thompson. Ted said that he would like to re-sign WR Robert Ferguson for next season. One question. WHY? He hasn't played a full season yet and he's been in the league  4-5 years! If you count all the games he's actually played he's only put in about 2-2 1/2 seasons! Ted, get a clue. Cut your losses while you can. There will probably be a few good free agents next year to choose from. If given the chance Koren Robinson will be back. Ruvell Martin is starting to come around and could be an excellent 4th or 5th receiver. Hell, Give Cory Rogers another chance. But Ferguson? Please! That's all for now Packer Fans. Keep the faith. Until Next Time, SEEEE YAAAA!!!!!!
