Hello all of you loyal Football ^FAN^atics,

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback "Big Ben", seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in June, will play in a celebrity golf tournament and appear in a music video. Officials with American Century Championship, a tournament in Lake Tahoe, Nev., said that Roethlisberger has committed to play there July 14-16. He most certainly made a remarkable recovery and hopefully find enough ambition to start every game for the Superbowl XL champs!

Roethlisberger broke his jaw and nose when his head smashed into the car's windshield, and he was thrown over the car onto the pavement. “Big Ben” was cited for riding without a license and not wearing a helmet.

Green Bay Packers rookies and veterans must report to training camp at St. Norbert College De Pere, Wis on 7/28. Will RB Samkon Gado have another tremendous season like last year with Ahman Green returning healthy to the running back position? Or will Samkon Gado be active enough to substantiate him as the “go to guy” that he seemed to acquire last year. However, provided these 2 fine running backs stay healthy they will alleviate the pressure on the future Hall of Famer, Brett Favre.

My favorite TV show, "NFL LIVE", which is hosted by "TREY WINGO", is now being broadcasted on ESPN, frequently.

For a running back to remain in the NFL longer than the age of 30, he must know how to avoid hits, which keeps him healthy and he must still love to play this wonderful game.

Saint Louis Ram’s running back, 13 year Marshal Faulk had one of his knees scoped recently and probably won’t play this season. So because of this the Rams put him on injured reserve status. Most likely, he will be a future Hall of Famer candidate. He is 33 years of age, depending on the outcome of his surgery; his career might be over. Another fine running back of the New York Giants is 31 year old Tiki Barber. In 2005, he started all 16 games for them and the NFC Wild Card game against Carolina Panthers. He once could have been called a Hall of Famer candidate for fumbling, but not anymore, as it is his unique way of carrying the “pigskin!”

On "NFL LIVE", Tiki Barber, told their analysts that he wants to play 1 or 2 more years, even win the Superbowl so he can have a magnificent ring on his finger!

That is all for now, I will close. Until my next article, keep staying alert as football season is upon us, Louie
