I get an enormous amount of my NFL information from the NFL “LIVE” on ESPN2, as it has become my favorite show during this time of year.
For all you Packers fans who frequently visit this outstanding Website, here is some info to tell you what has been going on in the league. In my previous one, I didn’t imagine that I would write another article, as the preseason was ending shortly. However, Trey Wingo and Mark Schlereth really gave me enough NFL information to fill you in on 8/15/05.
Mainly, they talked about the Philadelphia Eagles and Terrell Owens. The Eagles sent T.O. a letter listing all of his transgressions. Obviously Terrell Owens and the Philadelphia Eagles settled this situation as; he is now in camp. Still the other receivers need to show T.O. and the coaches their great playing ability that they posess. By them showing their excellence on the field, it should give credit to the officials who recruited them.
On 8/17/05, those commentators reported that should Kurt Warner get the starting nod a quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals. If he accomplishes that, this will be the 3rd team he has done that for in 3 years of time! Warner signed with the Cardinals as an unrestricted free agent on March 6, 2003. Originally signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in 1994, Warner went on to play in the Arena Football League with the Iowa Barnstormers (1995-97) before being signed by the St. Louis Rams on December 26, 1997.
By observing his actions on the field, because of his age, he needs alot of time in the pocket and hopefully his frontline will give him that. He holds the 5th best winning percentage among the active quarterbacks in the NFL. It should show other rookie QB’s that by performing very mature, plus his winning the Superbowl MVP and earning the league MVP twice didn’t go to his head.
All you fans, just remember to help Deanna’s cause by buying those new pink Green Bay Packers hats for they are helping to score a touchdown against cancer!
Gods Peace to you! Until next time, LOU^U.P.^
