The first days of training appear to show that the Farve – Walker relationship is heading in the correct direction. According to Packers.com article, Training Camp Notebook: Packers Begin Full-Squad Workouts , Brett Favre was pleased with the return of Walker. "He's a great guy. He's a great player," Favre said. "He's going to help us. I'm glad he's here." The two players appear to be making the off-the-field comments water under the bridge as they prepare for the up coming regular season .

Walker expressed interested in remaining a Packer for his whole career referencing the great Packer receivers of Don Hutson, James Lofton and Sterling Sharpe. "(Regarding Farve) There were no hard feelings," Walker said. "Now we're at work. We know we're on the same level. So now it's time to just go out and play." Regarding the Packer fans that criticized his potential hold-out , Walker said "The fans are great. I've always wanted to be a Packer," Walker said. "Football here is the best place ever."

Sherman was pleased with the performance of Walker, Favre and the rest of the Packer players.

Grady Jackson did show up for practice but did not participate. He is currently on the “physically-unable-to-perform” list until he passes his physical. Sherman is planning to keep Jackson off the field until he feels comfortable that Jackson is 100% healthy and will not re-injure his knee.

Veteran Cledius Hunt still has not lived up to his potential. For many reasons, the PackerIQ,com staff has been real critical about his performance and his attitude off the field.  He missed mini-camps and is a little behind in his competition with the younger defensive tackle Corey Williams. Defensive coordinator Bates uses the lineman to control the line of scrimmage keeping the offensive line off the linebackers so they can make plays. He is pleased with the workout of Hunt so far with all factors considered. Whether Hunt is consistent is a question that remains to be answered.  It is always hard to tell whether Cledius is ready to hunt.
