Brett Farve's wife Deanna has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Sherecently underwent a lumpectomy at Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Deanna Farve will undergo chemotherapy treatments for up to five months and shouldmake a full recovery.

Favre was told about the cancer Oct. 14. He left practice to be with his family for a day prior to the Detroit Lions.

The Farve family has been through a lot recently. Last December, Brett's father, Irvin, died from a heart attack. Deanna's brother, Casey Tynes was recently killed in an ATV accident.
