After 60 grueling minutes of back and forth football, Packer DB Al Harris stepped in front of a Matt Hasselback pass in overtime and raced down the sideline for a 52 yard td and a date in Philly to face the Eagles next week Sunday. Both teams had major defensive lapses this game that can probably be attributed to the fact that Both Mike Sherman and Mike Holmgren know the West Coast offense so well that it gave their respective defensive coordinators fits. 14 unanswered points in the 3rd quarter gave every Packer fan cause for concern. But as been the case the past few weeks, Brett Favre and company drove down field and punched in another 1 yd td by Ahman Green late in the 4th. But Hasselback drove HIS team down with time running out to tie the game at 27-27.Had it not been for a missed 47 yd field goal attempt by Ryan Longwell as time ran out this game could have avoided all the overtime drama. But what fun would that have been? I think the turning point in this game was the coin flip for O.T. when the very brash Mr. Hasselback called heads and after he won the toss said over the Ref's mike " we'll take the ball and score"! I don't know about you gang , but that would have really fired me up. And that's exactly what it did to the Green Bay defense. They held Seattle to minimal yardage on the first drive and then on the second, well you know the rest.
If this is a team of destiny , as many have said, then you know that Philly is not looking forward to playing the Pack. They know that they escaped by a whisker when they played at Lambeau on that cold and rainy Monday night in November. Hopefully the Green and Gold can repay the Eagles for that loss and head off to the NFC championship in 2 weeks. Until next time my fellow Packer Fanatics......................................SEE YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
