Pack runs Bucs off the plank

In the old days the Pack would depend on the guts and especially the arm of Brett Favre to win a big game. Welcome to the present where Ahman Green and the O-Line just grind an opponent into the turf. With Favre not at 100% it is certainly a relief that the big guys in the trenches are doing a tremendous job of openning holes and just blowing the defenses back on their heels. And when Brett had to throw they kept Warren ( The Big ) Sapp and his cronies off Brett's back. I think we all can give thanks that this O-Line is gelling at just the right time. Even Madden and Michaels agree on that one. The O-line can be proud of the fact that they helped break 2 records Sunday afternoon. #1 they got their first win at Raymond James Stadium. #2 they broke the streak of consecutive games with a sack by Tampa's defense. There were however 2 glaring breakdowns by the Green Bay defense on 2 big runs by a no-name running back that looked like it would be just another gloomy game in Florida. But the additions of Grady Jackson and Larry Smith up front seems to have plugged a big hole in the D-Line.I must admit that when Jackson signed I was a little uneasy. I thought "oh no not another Saints reject"( I.E. Joe Johnson). But Grady is doing just fine. And a tip of the hat to Mike Sherman who called a couple of gutsy plays especially the 4th and 1 on "The Drive". 98 yds in about 12 minutes, what a excellent job by they entire offense and the coaching staff!! If this team can overcome the untimely brain fart that seems to have plagued them in the 5 losses I believe they can overtake the Vikes and win the division outright. Oh how the mighty Vikes have fallen! 4 losses in a row and who knows how many more before they get it together. Now it's on to next week's match-up with the Niners. I watched their game against the Steelers and although they blew them away, the Niners didn't impress me that much. I think it was more of Pittsburgh imploding than San Fran exploding. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Til next time my friends..........................SEE YA!!!!!!!!!!!!
