Domed Again!!!

The good news for the Packers is that they don't have to play another regular season game in a dome this year. The bad news is they had to play in one today.T he dome they have the most trouble in. The Metrodome has not been kind to Brett Favre. He is now 2-9 after the Vikings pulled off a major upset winning 31-21. Favre had 3 intercepted for only the first time this season but it seemed that he had no choice because he was always playing from behind so he forced the issue a few too many times. He was lucky to get off with only 3 picked off. 3-4 other passes that could have ben picked were dropped. The only bright spots were the 84yd td by Driver and the roughing the passer call that gave Green Bay first and goal at the 1yd line that led to the td pass to Bubba Franks. Penalties are the one thing that has been shooting the Pack in the foot all year long. They had 13 today. If they want to hoist the Lombardi trophy in San Diego this year the coaching staff and the players must address this problem RIGHT NOW!!!!! Speaking of problems that must be addressed how about Tyrone Williams? Williams was burned so often I thought that they would have to take him to a trauma center for treatment. Ty has got to cover better than he did today. Randy Moss and Co. made him look bad on quite a few plays. Add in the pass interference call and you can see why Culpepper went after him. Rookie Marques Anderson continues to impress with another pick and a strip of Culpepper at the goal line. Is it just me or did it seem like hardly anyone of the Packers played with any intensity or sense of urgency today? Now is not the time to rest on the laurels of the first half of the season. Losses like this one can have a snowball effect and ruin any chance for home field advantage in the playoffs. Right now I would suspect that the Packers would rather face a team like the Saints on the "Frozen Tundra" of Lambeau Field instead of inside the Superdome. Now it's off to Tampa to face the Buccaneers. Hopefully Warren Sapp will be done yapping about the sack by Strahan at the end of last season for the record but, I seriously doubt it. Well Packer fans all we can do is wait for next week and cheer on our beloved green and gold to victory. Til next week.......SEE YA!!!!!
