This Sunday the Packers and Brett Favre have a good chance to get rid of the evil spirits of the Metrodome. Personally, I still have flashbacks of T.J. Rubley, but this time it might be different. The Packers are not only playing well, they are also playing consistent. There is still some room for improvement; too many penalties and they do need better performances from their special teams. For the most part, they are playing good football. There are very few defensive breakdowns, the pass protection has been good, and they are even getting the ball to Bubba Franks. All of these things, plus the consistent great plays from Brett Favre have the Packers sitting with an 8-1 record. It really looks like Favre is on a mission! I have never seen him play any better, but he also has a solid supporting cast, which helps a great deal. The Vikings on the other hand, are totally lost! Their owner wants to sell the team, Culpepper has basically stunk, and head coach Mike Tice should never have been hired. If the Packers can stay mentally focused on their assignments, they should have another win on Sunday. Getting an early lead will help take the crowd noise out of the game. The Packers have a big game against the Buccaneers next week, so lets hope they have the Vikes on their minds Sunday, not the Bucs! Until next week, STAY SAFE!
