With a 7-1 start the Packers appear to be on their way back to the Super Bowl. Should they get there it would be an excellent chance to avenge their only Super Bowl loss since it came at Quaalcom Stadium.Even with all the injuries that have plagued this year's team it seems they always find someone to plug in and keep right on going. It is no wonder that several Packers are leading vote getters for this year's Pro Bowl. Donald Driver,Bubba Franks, Mike Flanagan,Ryan Longwell, Darren Sharper, and Matt Bowen lead at their positions not to mention the fact that Brett Favre not only leads at the QB spot but in TOTAL votes as well.(could a 4th MVP be on the horizon?) But as we all know 7-1 is only halfway there. In order to complete this journey Green Bay must keep playing as if every game was their last and not rest on their collective laurels. A letdown now could be disasterous. Mike Sherman and his staff have got to keep everybody from Favre all the way down to the locker room attendants on the same page and keep the distractions to a bare minimum. Now is not the time for egos and swelled heads. As for the rest of the season I see a couple of VERY BIG games looming out there that could make or break this team. The games against Tampa Bay and Frisco should be battles to the very end. Warren Sapp is always creating havoc no matter who they play but he seems to get an extra charge out of chasing Brett around the field. With a bum knee that could make for a very long day for Favre if his line dosen't come through and play with a white hot intensity. I am very curious to see how 49er wide receiver Terrell Owens does against a very good Packer secondary. If the D- Line keeps putting pressure on qb Jeff Garcia the way it has in the last 5 games Owens could very well be a non-factor. Also you can't rule out the 4 remaining division games especially since the Pack has to play in that @#$*%#! Dome in Minneapolis

Speaking of the secondary, don't you think that it is time Sherman traded Antaun Edwards while he might be able to get some sort of value for him? Edwards came into the league with all the potential in the world, but injuries in each of his NFL seasons has left plenty of room for doubt about his ability to show that potential. 3rd round draft pick Marques Anderson is having a monster rookie season so far and with the addition of Bryant Westbrook makes the trade of Edwards more logical everyday.

Well Packer fans let's hope that Lion rookie qb Joey Harrington gets a little too caught up in that rich Lambeau and that KGB and Co. can catch him a number of times this Sunday. From the Cheap seats, SEE YA!!!!
