Growing up in the the state of Wisconsin and following the Green Bay Packers in the Lean years, I remember to this day what effect the Bears-Packer rivalry has had on me. Though I was a die-hard Packer fan, one player in the NFL that always stood out in my mind as a "class act" and one-of-a-kind was number 34 - Walter Payton. No football fan of any team can not respect the effort on the field of MR. Payton or the class he showed off the field. Our hearts go out to the family of one of greatest to play the game. My hope is that more players can follow his example. Leave the cocky "Dion Sanders" type antics that so many players in the NFL today feel the need to show at home. Follow the example Payton has left us for sportmanship, discipline, respect, and leadership. God bless him and his family!!!!
