9 Rushes for 9 yards?

Nine rushes for nine yards says it all! Yesterday’s loss had many things that went wrong. The first was only giving Ahman Green nine rushing attempts; sooner or later he should break one. It was obvious that the offensive line was just terrible, but to abandon the run was plain stupid by Tom Rossley. Three incomplete passes and back to the sidelines, does not give much rest for the defense. How do you take the ball out of Ahman Greens hands? I think it is seriously time to get a new offensive coordinator for next year. Another situation that doesn’t make sense is why do you call a screen pass from the Titan seven yard-line? There is no room at all for the screen pass to work because the defensive backs are too close to the line of scrimmage. Why do you call for a screen pass in that situation, but forget about the screen when they had the room to “sell” the play all during the game? The Packer had used a formation with two or three receivers on the right side in which Donald Driver came into the middle of the field for easy completions. Why didn’t Rossley use that formation more than he did? Run the play until they stop it! I realize the defense uses different coverages, but maybe if the defense paid stronger attention to Driver, another receiver could break open. If there is anyone who thinks Favre deserves to be M.V.P. this year, think again. Brett is just as much to blame as the terrible blocking, play calling, and tackling! He had Bradford open down the sidelines for a touchdown on the Packers last possession and heaved a pass well out of bounds that is not an M.V.P. quarterback! Brett still refuses to protect the ball in the pocket, it doesn’t belong that low where it’s easy to fumble. It seems he fumbles every week and it doesn’t sink in his head to protect the ball.

And last, but certainly not least, my favorite, Tyrone Williams (cover corner extraordinaire). He has the gall to label himself a cover corner? Who can he cover? Time and time again he gets beat as passes whiz past his head. Don’t fool yourself Packer Backers that pass on the fake punt hit him; he didn’t block it on purpose! He could have easily been penalized for face guarding also! They better get someone better for next year at his spot; I am getting an ulcer watching him. How can he be in good position to make plays and doesn’t see the ball? Just like Favre’s fumbling, it happens to Williams week after week. Well it looks like the Packers are wild card bound, but that’s o.k. The Packers have the “cover corner extraordinaire” on our side! It was nice to hear from you Duff Kinney; I enjoyed your Longest Yard reply. Funny you should mention the Longest Yard; I felt like Eddie Albert watching Tyrone Williams yesterday, I just kept yelling, “shoot…..shoot…shoot him!” Just kidding, of course Duf! Stay safe and have a good week!
