This past Sunday’s loss to the Vikings proves that you are not as good as your last win, and not as bad as your last loss. It was clearly evident that the Vikings wanted it much more than the Packers. Forget the dome theory, it was just a plain butt whipping! You can say that the Packers spent too much time reading how great they were and not enough time on the Vikings, that assumption might be a valid one. It was just a bad day for the Packers, from the players to the coaching staff, they just stunk! But hopefully the Packers can learn from this and build off of it, sometimes an embarrassment can work wonders. For example, after last year’s embarrassment at Carolina, the Packers went undefeated. I am not saying that I think that will happen, but I would not want to be the Buccaneers in two weeks. The bottom line is that “you are only as good as your last at bat” Don’t worry Packer Backers, it was just a bad day!

There were a lot of negative things to comment on, so I will just pick out a couple of them. The coaching staff was not prepared, just as much as the players were not prepared. It was obvious that the Viking defense keyed on Ahman Green, this would have been a perfect time for some reverses, bootlegs by Favre, and play action passes. Instead we saw shotgun after shotgun, bad job of play calling, it’s as simple as that. The next thing I could not understand was that Favre and Green were still playing with the game out of reach. I don’t know if they refused to come out of the game, or Sherman was trying to prove a point by making them finish a bad game. Whatever the reason was, Sherman should not have them in the game! I nearly lost my mind when Favre got pounded into the turf at the end of the game. If I were a member of the Vikings defense, I would take the penalty and the fine for putting a cheap shot on Favre! So hang in there Packer Backers, better days are on the horizon! Until next time, take care and stay safe!
